Hamilton Dixon has been sculpting metal as an art form for more than 30 years. He began working with metal on an off-shore oil rig in the 1980's. He attended Turley Forge School in Santa Fe, New Mexico where he learned basic techniques in forging steel. In 1991, Dixon established himself in Dayton, Ohio and has thrived here as a full-time artist ever since. Although his focus is on larger works, like the railing in the Dayton International Airport, and the Dayton Art Institute, he also enjoys the delicate work of jewelry making.
